The Store For Music Ltd is an online music store and an independent record label located in Surrey, England. We sell digital music as well as CDs and DVDs.
The Store For Music record label was formed by Brian Adams in the summer of 2001 when a series of tribute albums to major artistes were recorded in Hatch Farm Studios, a sister company situated in the same premises. These albums all feature well known UK rock musicians from a wide variation of successful bands, and the tributes were to major rock stars such as UFO, Sting & Police, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Yes, Whitesnake and others.
It seemed perfectly natural to create an outlet for the music in Europe along with other product that was owned by the two companies. Subsequently albums were released by Rick Wakeman, Sham 69, China Crisis and Little River Band bringing the number of releases by 2005 to around 25.
Other catalogue owners became aware of The Store For Music and agreements were signed to bring in their product which resulted in new releases from major artists such as: Asia, Roxy Music, Johnny Winter, Bob Marley, White, YES, Vanilla Fudge, Carmine Appice, John Wetton, Geoffrey Downes, Carl Palmer, Dan Fogelberg, Cinderella and many more!
Recently the label assigned the Spitfire Catalogue adding another dimension of heavy rock artists, such as: Ian Gillan, Dio, Stefan Elmgren, Overkill, Crowbar and Steve Howe (See spitfire catalogue). The plan for 2010 is the steady release of more classic rock CD and DVD's, constantly building our catalogue.Email: /
