Description

Bob Welch is a singer, songwriter and guitarist, most famous for his 4 year stint in Fleetwood Mac. Welch replaced Jeremy Spencer when joining the band in 1971, and stayed for the albums ‘Future Games’ (1971), ‘Bare Trees’ (1973), ‘Mystery Me’ (1973) and ‘Heroes Are Hard To Find’ (1974).

After being asked to stay despite the addition of Lindsey Buckingham and Steve Nicks in 1975, Welch left and formed a hard rock trop named Paris. The band consisted of former Jethro Tull bass guitarist Glenn Cornick, former Nazz drummer Thom Mooney, and then future Tin Machine drummer Hunt Sales. They released two unsuccessful albums in 1976.

From this, Welch decided to make commercial pop music. He had great success with his platinum album ‘French Kiss’ in 1977 which featured the hits ‘Sentimental Lady’ and ‘Ebony Eyes’ both featured on this album.

This live concert was recorded during the 1981 tour at the Roxy in LA, with guest appearances by Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, John McVie, Steve Nicks, Bob Weston, Carmine Appice and Robbie Patton.
