More than three decades after his death, Louis Armstrong's recordings are more widely available than at anytime during his lifetime. Louis Daniel Armstrong, Born in August 1901, is probably the most famous Jazz musician of the 20th century. He achieved his fame as a trumpeter but due to his unique voice, became best known as a vocalist. Louis recorded his biggest selling record in 1964, 'Hello Dolly' The song went to number 1 on the pop charts, making him the oldest person ever to have achieved this hit, at 63!
