Synposis
Often credited as one of the most popular bands of the 1980s thrash metal scene, Testament has been around for nearly 30 years. Since its inception, the band underwent numerous line-up changes, with guitarist Eric Peterson being the only constant member, although the band currently also features three core members, Alex Skolnick (guitarist), Greg Christian (bass) and Chuck Billy (vocals), who replaced Steve Souza in 1986, prior to the recording of their first studio album.
In July 2011, it was announced that the tenth Testament studio album would be called “The Dark Roots of Earth”. According to Chuck Billy, the tour supporting the album will feature Anthrax and Death Angel.
Live in London is a live Testament album that was released on November 1, 2005 on CD and DVD. It features the original Testament line up of Chuck Billy, Greg Christian, Louie Clemente, Eric Peterson, and Alex Skolnick, although John Tempesta drums from the beginning of the show up to Trial By Fire. Tempesta is then replaced by Clemente for the remainder of the show, giving the audience a reunited "Classic" Testament line-up. This was the third show of the 10 Days in May Tour.
