Step By Step DVD Downloading

The following step by step guide tells you everything that you need to know in order to download DVDs from our site.

Please note that you only have to install our download software once ! (After this you will be able to download DVDs at the click of a button.)

At present this software does not work on Apple Macintosh computers - bear with us we are working on it !

1. Buy a DVD from the Store for Music website

When you have found the DVD that you wish to buy, simply add it to your shopping basket and checkout.
Once you have paid for your DVD, log back on to the site and click on the 'Purchased Downloads' tab at the top of the screen - you will now see your DVD listed under the DVDs section.

2. Install our downloader on your PC

Click Here to install our downloader on your PC. A 'File Download' popup window should appear asking if you want to Open/Save/Cancel - please select 'Open'. A new window should then appear showing a folder containing two files 'Setup' and 'TSFM', please double click on 'Setup' and this will take you through the installation process for the Store for Music Downloader. Note that if you are presented with a window concerning '.Net framework 2.0' then please click 'Accept' to install the software but be aware that this may take quite a long time (depending on the speed of your internet connection). This software is essential for the correct running of our downloader.

3. Run the downloader

You should find the 'TSFM Downloader' in your Programs (just click on 'Start' and then 'All Programs' to find it). Now just click on it to start it running.
Once running, simply click on 'Settings' and enter your Store for Music username and password. In 'target directory' you should also choose a directory on your machine where you would like the DVD to be put.

4. DVD is downloaded

If you have completed the steps above, click on 'Check for Files' and your DVD should now start to download (a 'percentage downloaded' figure will appear in the downloader).

5. What to do with the DVD now ?

You have two options:
1) You can burn the image to a DVD using your DVD burning software (the DVD is downloaded as an '.ISO' image file)
2) You can play the DVD directly on your PC using a free player such as the VLC Media Player

6. Future DVD downloads

Once you have installed our downloader, it will automatically download any future DVD purchases from the Store for Music.
